Mealix - Terms of Service

Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mealix, an AI-assisted weekly meal planning app developed by SuboVision ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Mealix, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Mealix uses a remote backend for AI meal generation, account features, optional cloud sync, and subscription status. These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Eligibility

Mealix is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Mealix only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Your Account

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and not share your account with others. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions and Billing

Mealix offers a free tier as well as an optional "Pro" subscription that unlocks additional features. Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (for example, monthly or annual plans).

Payments are processed by the app stores. All purchases, prices, taxes, payment methods, auto-renewal, and renewals are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and policies. SuboVision does not collect or process your payment details directly.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand. You will be charged through your store account for each renewal until you cancel.
Cancellation. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google according to their respective policies. SuboVision does not issue refunds directly. This does not affect any mandatory statutory consumer rights you may have.
Subscription management. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements and to restore purchases across your devices, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may change subscription plans, features, or pricing for future billing periods. Where required, we will provide notice and obtain any necessary consent.

AI-Generated Content and No Medical Advice

Meal plans, individual meals, recipes, and grocery lists in Mealix are generated by artificial intelligence based on the information you provide. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your individual needs, and may not reflect real ingredient availability, nutritional values, or allergen information.

				Mealix is not medical, nutritional, dietary, or health advice. Always use your own
				judgment, verify ingredients and allergens yourself, and consult a qualified
				professional before making decisions about your diet or health — especially if you
				have allergies, intolerances, or a medical condition.
			

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Mealix for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, the Mealix backend, or related systems.
Abuse, automate, or excessively use AI generation or other features beyond reasonable personal use, or circumvent usage limits.
Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to provide.

Intellectual Property

Mealix, including its software, design, branding, and content we provide, is owned by SuboVision and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

Content you provide (such as your profile and meal preferences) remains yours. By using Mealix, you grant us the rights needed to process that content to operate and provide the service, including sending relevant details to our backend for AI generation, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Mealix relies on third-party services to operate, including the Apple App Store and Google Play, RevenueCat, and backend hosting and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Mealix is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content or AI output will be accurate, reliable, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SuboVision will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Mealix. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections.

Termination

You may stop using Mealix at any time and can delete your account from the app settings, which requests deletion of your server-side account data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Italy, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Those mandatory protections are not affected by these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Your continued use of Mealix after an update means the updated Terms apply to you.
